Sweet baby Ava. She gave us so many smiles during her session. What was most adorable was how every time she’d go back to Mama’s arms, a smile would appear. She definitely loved her mama already. Thankfully, I was able to capture a few of those! Take a look.

Beautiful Charlotte. Adorable, chubby little doll! It was wonderful meeting her and her parents. Would love to write more, but once again, work is calling quickly!

Meet little Jake, the son of one of my mom’s former students. Now the student is a teacher of her own! He was such a snugglebug. So sweet. I’m making this post short – have many more galleries to prepare before my 4 newborn sessions in 5 days! Wish me luck! 🙂

What a little sweetheart this Dylan was. A sleepy, sleepy, 9 day-old, over-8 pounder. He is the cousin of little William, a baby I photographed months ago. He is also one of 5 babies born in a week and I’m loving this baby boom! Thankfully, my aunt has started to assist me during newborn sessions (and my mom, too!) since my two (twin) nieces, Shelby and Taylor have gone back to school for the year. Juniors this year! I don’t even remember how I was able to do the newborn sessions alone before! It goes so much more smoothly with an assistant. Check back soon for more of the babies!

Oh my goodness. Twins. I was so excited for this session and prepared for what I thought would be a bit more difficult time. These babies surprised me so much. They were totally sleepy and loved being nestled together. They were born a few weeks early and on two separate days. Isn’t that neat?

Mom and Dad travelled all the way from Algonac to my home to have their new baby, Alex, photographed and he was such a doll. Definitely the most expressive baby I’ve seen! He loved his momma, who was a real trooper and fed him many, many times during the session. I always tell parents of newborns that they can relax during the session, and Alex’s daddy took advantage! After the long drive and the accumulated sleepless nights, along with the very warm house and white noise machine, this is what happened…

So funny! But we got some really cute pictures of his little guy. Meet Alex!

Meet little James. Born exactly one year and one day after his big brother, he will always have a built-in buddy. I was a bit pessimistic about the possibility of getting a picture of the two together, because as those of you that had a 1- to 3-year-old when the new baby came know, it’s pretty darn difficult sometimes. But we had a game plan and it worked, surprisingly! Big brother Franco laid right next to the baby and smiled. Couldn’t have asked for anything more. Except maybe to have a very sleepy baby, but I got that, too! Slept the whole time! I can’t even decide my favorite picture. What do you think?
